Crazy Wedding Cake

As we have been searching the interweb to find wedding cake ideas, I keep coming across some incredibly inventive, cool and downright crazy wedding cakes out there.

As I have said before, put the word “wedding” in front of anything and the price jumps by 50%. Use the combination of wedding and cake anywhere in the same sentence and you, my friend, are screwed. I have seen plain three-tiered white icing with black cake confections that can feed up to 90 people for about $1,000.

WTF!? That is 10 bucks a slice! I know that may not sound too expensive as you sit cuddled up on your couch or goofing off at work while reading this post, but trust me, come wedding night, after the party is over and it is time to settle up with the caterer, you will be saying WTF for the next month.

But it is a wedding! Why all the negativity! Relax, enjoy, try not to think of the fact that you are spending anywhere from 10 to $40,000 dollars for just fives hours…

So, if you are going to drop some serious cash on a cake then, my friend, you need to go big! The more crazy the better! Just check out some of these cakes of mass craziness.

The reason she is my PreWife

Testing the watersToday is nothing but accolades as usual for the prewife. First off, she has purchased her wedding gown. Not only that, in a feat of Herculean Athenian show of stength, will, determination and love for my cheap sorry ass, the grand total came to $500 That’s right $500 for a wedding dress. That is just unheard of. Not only that, but it fit her right off the rack.
Wait! It gets better! It took her about 30 minutes to pick it out (yes I was there).

The difference between you and her on wedding day.

mii cake toppersAfter spending a weekend moving boxes and rearranging our lives to live in sin move in together, my prewife and I retired to our respective evening activities. I watched a blistering seven back to back episodes of CSI on SPIKE and she read no less then five Bridal magazines cover to cover. During a commercial and when she wasn’t around, I read slack-jawed cover to cover flipped through one of the magazines and was shocked at the preparation a bride must endure on wedding day. In fact the amount of preparation the day of the wedding just for the bride to walk down the aisle vastly outstrips all the months of planning before it!
So just for my edification, I flipped through a few bizzillion pages online of what a bride should do to look her best from first light through initial consummation.

How to make you lipstick stay on until the final kiss of the day.
